FROM CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION

Evening News
London, England

No doubt [the writer] believes to be true his astonishing assertion in regard to the healing efficacy of Christian Science.

Were it to be so, however, it would be extraordinarily difficult to account for the growth of the Christian Science Church to well over 3,000 branches within less than 100 years and for the fact that in some families the fifth generation is now active in the daily practice of this religion.

Christian Scientists regard their religion as very much more than an effective alternative to medicine.

They have found that no form of healing can compare with that which follows as the natural effect of a degree of spiritual regeneration.

Such renewal results from a growing understanding of the nature of God and of man's spiritual relationship to Him.

It is, above all, because her life's work has made this increased understanding possible for them that Mary Baker Eddy has earned the gratitude of countless thousands.
