It is with humble gratitude that the following testimony is shared with you.

Our son passed on during World War II. Each month when the government insurance payment came, it was received with a sense of dread and as a reminder of his passing. The insurance payments were finally used toward buying a home. When the mortgage on this home was paid off, I could not seem to buy something personal with the money.

Then the invitation came to contribute to the Building Fund for the Christian Science Church Center. We started to contribute with these insurance funds, and after a time I noticed there was not as much dread or reminder of loss when these payments arrived.

Then Christ Jesus' parable in the Bible of the man who gave his servants the talents came to my thought (see Matt. 25:15—29). I had been burying my talent in the thought of dread. Now as these talents are sent, they go forth with spiritual joy for this healing and for the furthering of the spiritual growth of all mankind.
