After World War II I had the opportunity to travel rather extensively with a friend who was not a student of Christian Science. As a young boy, however, my friend had seen the healing power of Christian Science in action.
In the course of our trip there were many proofs of God's supply, guidance, and protection. One experience still stands out most vividly to me. I am most grateful for the complete demonstration of God's allness and care in this experience.
After completing a several weeks' tour of one sector, we were asked if we wished to travel throughout a country which was, at that time, under the control of a foreign government. Having all our papers in order, we boarded the night train to a city in the occupied country. We were to arrive at our destination in the early morning.
