The most wonderful thing about Christian Science is that it is the truth. When I first came into Christian Science, it was to find that there was a whole new world, a state of spiritual consciousness, which I had not known existed.
My first healing was that of eczema on my face. I had been to dermatologists and tried various treatments, but to no avail. After one visit to a Christian Science practitioner the condition was healed. While driving home from the practitioner's office, I remember looking in the rear-vision mirror and thinking, "Well, I don't care what you look like. I know that God is good and God is All." The symptoms disappeared. For months afterward I felt enveloped in divine Love, and much spiritualization of my thinking followed.
Another healing I had was that of pain and swelling in a leg and hip. I don't know what the condition would have been called. This continued for several months, and much good came from the treatment; but there had not been a complete healing. I felt led to change practitioners. The healing followed in about a week. At this time I saw clearly that there is no sensation in matter and that Love is the only motivating power.
