I am exceedingly grateful to Christian Science for helping to regenerate both me and my family. Christian Science has been available to me since childhood, but in my early years in time of need I depended on the spiritual understanding either of my parents or of a Christian Science practitioner.

After marriage to a young man who at that time was not at all interested in my religion, I became even more apathetic concerning my growth in spiritual understanding. When our children were born, my husband felt that they should be cared for by a doctor, but he gave his permission for them to attend a Christian Science Sunday School.

As the years went by, our fears for the children's well-being increased, along with doctor and drug bills. Finally, one year I was placed in the hospital with infectious hepatitis. Two days after I was released, our youngest son was admitted to the hospital for uncontrolled diarrhea. These two illnesses in our family following so closely upon each other made me begin to realize how our lives were being completely dictated by mortal beliefs.
