I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude for the Christian Science Quarterly Bible Lessons provided for our study each week. A statement in one of the lessons on Matter contained just the inspiration needed to bring about an instantaneous healing. Mrs. Eddy says (Science and Health, p. 211): "The sensations of the body must either be the sensations of a so-called mortal mind or of matter. Nerves are not mind. Is it not provable that Mind is not mortal and that matter has no sensation? Is it not equally true that matter does not appear in the spiritual understanding of being?"

One morning just as I began to study the lesson, I became quite ill with a great sense of pain. As I continued to study the lesson, I came to the above reference. As I began to analyze this statement, I could see very clearly that "the sensations of the body must either be the sensations of a so-called mortal mind or of matter," and that "Mind is not mortal and that matter has no sensation." I saw that because these statements were true I could prove them. These thoughts, uppermost in my thinking, dispelled all discomfort, and I was freed from illness and pain.

Christian Science has been my only physician for more than thirty-five years, and I have experienced many beautiful healings. A few of these are those of harelip, a broken wrist, a sprained ankle. At a time when real estate conditions were unstable I was able to conclude the harmonious sale of three houses, although the general thought was that they could not be sold.
