A Universal Need—Guidance
What shall I do? Where shall I turn? What is the next step? All these questions and many more are being asked every day. There is a universal need for guidance, or direction. It has recurred throughout time. The Psalmist often referred to this need. He said, "O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me." Ps. 43:3; And such a need is reflected in the wide usage of Mrs. Eddy's poem "'Feed My Sheep.'" These lines reflect this earnest desire:
I will listen for Thy voice,
Lest my footsteps stray;
I will follow and rejoice
All the rugged way. Poems, p. 14;
