The Inevitability of Good

In the world upon which we open our eyes every morning there appear to be continuously conflicting events. Some situations and conditions seem good, some bad. If we accept the verdict of the material senses, we feel constantly pulled in opposite directions.

Recently, while I was thinking about the apparent struggle between good and evil, it became clear to me that regardless of all the evidence of disaster the carnal mind tries to thrust upon us, the ultimate triumph of God's will, or that which is good, is absolutely certain. Truth is. Whatever tries to oppose Truth must, then, have no real existence at all.

One who is struggling with a belief in sickness or pain but who is willing to accept the absolute assurance of the unquestionable reality of good and the consequent unreality of evil will find it a guiding light. How can we know with certainty that good is the only reality? Because it has been proven, over and over, by Jesus, the prophets, the apostles, Mrs. Eddy, and by thousands of individuals who have striven to adhere to their teachings. This certainty comes to us individually as we strive to demonstrate Christlike qualities in our daily lives.
