MY PRAYER

The things I have knownas the mother of three!The things I have done—Shot a gun, flown a plane,Made a dive with a sub, designed a house,Been so high up a mountain, on a horse,I had to get off and walk;Driven an ambulance, marched in a parade,Been special guest of VIP's,Been to parties,I had lots of fun.These count not one jot with God,When done!

Now I have learned—I can be only where God wants me to be;I can see only what He wants me to see;Do only what He wants me to do.Know only what He wants me to know,And most of all,Love only what He wants me to love:His creation, my brother and myself,Our divine naturesExpressed in selfless ways,In humility, patience, order, praise;Working and praying to understand"Thy will be done"!
