RADIO PROGRAM NO. 367 - Preparing for Marriage

[The speaker is Harvey Wood. The questioner is Robert McKinnon.]

Questioner: We might all agree that marriage never looks more appealing than when one is first in love and thinks it's going to be absolutely perfect. But divorce rates certainly indicate that in this fast-changing, high-pressured world marriage doesn't always work out as one would like it to.

Speaker: As wonderful as marriage can be, it's true that happy and substantial marriages have to be worked at. They don't just happen. A couple needs to have a reliable basis for finding lasting love and gaining genuine respect for each other, something to convey hope and put the promise of a prospective marriage on a right basis.
