In Miscellaneous Writings Mrs. Eddy writes (p . 307), "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies." In my own experience I have seen wonderful proofs of this.

At a time when our married daughter and her family needed to have a home, we turned to God in prayer. It occurred to me that since supply comes to us as the reflected ideas of divine consciousness the need could be met through the active expression of these ideas in our human experience. This proved to be true, for from that very day business seemed to be flooding in from all sides, and within the stipulated time the extra money needed was available for the completion of a home.

In the early days of our study of Christian Science, circumstances forced us to rely solely on our understanding of God to supply our human need both financially and physically. As a result we experienced several outstanding healings, one of which I would like to relate. At one time my wife and I enjoyed tobogganing with our young daughter on the steep slope of a snow-covered golf course. During one run down the slope my wife's legs were pushed off the toboggan, which was traveling at great speed. It seemed as if ligaments were torn, and she suffered great pain. The only way we could make her comfortable during that first night was to have her sit in an upright position in an armchair.
