The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the CHRISTIAN SCIENCE QUARTERLY designated to be read in Christian Science churches on October 19, 1969.

The Lamb of God(John 1:29)

This epithet, twice used of Christ Jesus by John the Baptist, was doubtless suggested by various Old Testament passages referring to the symbolic purity and innocence of a sacrificial lamb(see Jer. 11: 19; Isa. 53:7; Lev. 9:3, etc.).
