What a joy it is to turn my children over to their dear Father-Mother...
What a joy it is to turn my children over to their dear Father-Mother God, to know that they are encircled in His love and that the Christ-idea is always present to guard, guide, and govern them! What a contrast this is to my life before my marriage, when I was a registered nurse and relied entirely on medical means for healing! I was satisfied when I received only improved bodily conditions after medical treatment. Now with each healing and each problem solved, we go up higher and learn more about God, who doesn't send evil or error of any kind. We are better morally and spiritually after each healing we experience.
I would like to tell of a healing that occurred two years ago. Our eleven-year-old son was playing on a rope attached to a pulley fastened to the limb of a tree. He was accompanied by two young friends. He had pulled himself up about twelve feet from the ground when he lost his grip on the rope and fell, headfirst, striking the tree roots that protruded from the ground.
While caring for the child, I reminded him that he was made in the image and likeness of God and was therefore spiritual, and that being spiritual, he could not be injured in any way. I also reminded him that Mrs. Eddy tells us (Science and Health, p. 424), "Under divine Providence there can be no accidents, since there is no room for imperfection in perfection." Although there was a bad wound on his head, he was able to walk into the house.
