"All things work together for good to them that love God" (Rom. 8:28). "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" (Prov. 3:6). Prayerful attention to these truths, combined with the study of Mrs. Eddy's works, especially Science and Health, brought newfound happiness and a great change in my life.

At a time when I was feeling unsettled and somewhat disturbed because of circumstances. I asked a Christian Science practitioner to help me through prayer. I had thought to obtain a particular position. However, in a very short time things unfolded in a different way from what I had expected. Instead of being appointed to one of the most senior positions in my profession, I renewed acquaintanceship with a student of Christian Science whom I had known slightly for some time, and within a short time we were married. Following this, my husband and I had the privilege of having class instruction together from a teacher of Christian Science. We also found time to work for our branch church and to enjoy a happy homelife together.

Two physical healings for which I am grateful are here related. One day I noticed a lump in my breast. I knew only too well the fears which anyone without an understanding of Christian Science would have. However, I turned again to the practitioner who had done so much with her prayerful work for me previously. The condition did not yield at first, until one day she wisely said, "We will let this go for a while as we seem to be making a problem of it." I tried to put it out of my consciousness; and as my understanding of divine Love increased, I noticed one day that the lump had dissolved. This was the end of it.
