The Westminster and Marylebone Chronicle
From an article in The Westminster and Marylebone Chronicle London, England
The sanest approach to the problem of drug-taking among the young would appear to us to have been instituted by the Christian Science Committee on Publication in their famous radio series "The Bible Speaks to You," which can be heard internationally over more than 1,000 radio stations. This popular radio programme, which has a vast worldwide audience covering all age groups, has been conducting an interesting series of programmes entitled "Students and Drugs," in which a Christian Science speaker in a studio has answered a wide range of questions on the subject. These talks have been reprinted in the "Christian Science Sentinel" and are certainly well worth reading by parents and teen-agers.

And is successful living simply a sort of adjustment to a material environment—a physical and chemical adjustment?" [Mr. Peel said in substance]: This is the assumption on which most drug-taking rests. But drugs deal with surface effects, with symptoms—not with causes.
