Immediate openings exist on the data processing staff for members of The Mother Church experienced in electronic data processing activities. There is a particular need for candidates with experience in writing program instructions for computers. These openings afford an unusual opportunity for professional growth and development in the computer field. If you are qualified and interested in this activity, please write to us. If any of your friends are qualified and interested, will you please tell them about it.
In this connection, The Christian Science Board of Directors is pleased to announce the installation of a new centralized computer. This facility has been equipped with a modern, large capacity "third generation" computer, and is part of a program to consolidate and expand the electronic data processing services of The Mother Church and of The Christian Science Publishing Society. Many departments and activities of The Mother Church will benefit greatly from the new services rendered by this computer. In addition to many necessary accounting applications, the computer will be used m the conduct of various publishing activities and in the administration of such functions as trust funds, membership files, subscriber services, lecture scheduling, and other worldwide activities of The Mother Church.
Applicants wishing to participate in this expansion activity should contact the Personnel Director, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02115.
