The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the CHRISTIAN SCIENCE QUARTERLY designated to be read in Christian Science churches on December 15, 1968.

In the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me (Ps. 27:5)

The Hebrew word translated "secret" can also mean shelter, hiding place, and protection, and in Psalm 91:1 is rendered "secret place." Then, while the word "tabernacle" literally means "tent," it was often used with particular reference to the sacred tent or shrine used by the early Israelites. Moffatt translates, "He shelters me within his shrine"; while Smith has, "He will conceal me in his secret tent."
