In the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me (Ps. 27:5)
The Hebrew word translated "secret" can also mean shelter, hiding place, and protection, and in Psalm 91:1 is rendered "secret place." Then, while the word "tabernacle" literally means "tent," it was often used with particular reference to the sacred tent or shrine used by the early Israelites. Moffatt translates, "He shelters me within his shrine"; while Smith has, "He will conceal me in his secret tent."
Lead me in a plain path (Ps. 27:11)
