The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the
CHRISTIAN SCIENCE QUARTERLY designated to be read in Christian Science churches on November 17, 1968.

After the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life (Hebr. 7:15, 16)

The Revised Standard Version suggests, "another priest arises in the likeness of Melchizedek, who has become a priest, not according to a legal requirement concerning bodily descent but by the power of an indestructible life."

The sincere milk of the word (I Pet. 2:2)
