Why "continue in well doing"?
What stirring thoughts Mrs. Eddy gives us in these words: "A grain of Christian Science does wonders for mortals, so omnipotent is Truth, but more of Christian Science must be gained in order to continue in well doing"!Science and Health, p. 449, One might well ask: "Why is greater dedication to divine Science necessary? Do I really want 'to continue in well doing,' when I have already found God's love and wisdom to be active, on occasion, in my affairs?"
The answer lies in whether we choose to claim our true inheritance as spiritual representatives of the one Mind or whether we still choose to live, in a measure, as having the fraudulent nature of a supposed mortal man. Radical transformation of our human mentality and experience can come only through a steadfast claiming of the ideas of divine Mind.
