A number of my healings through the application of Christian Science were published in a testimony in 1957. Now I should like to record another healing.

While crossing the street, I was struck by an automobile. I was taken to a hospital, where the physician determined that I had a broken pelvis and a broken bone in one leg. I told the hospital attendants that I was a Christian Scientist and did not want any medical treatment, nor did I want any cast put on my leg. My wishes were respected. The next day my family secured my release from the hospital. When I was taken home, we engaged a Christian Science practitioner to give me treatment and the Christian Science Visiting Nurse to care for me during the daytime while my wife was at work.

When I informed my employer that I did not know when I could return to work, I was given separation pay and discharged. This did not perturb me because I knew that God would take care of any need that I had. During the period in which I was recovering from the injury, I received a check from an unexpected source for a sum of money that had been due me for some time. This helped me to pay all outstanding bills.
