It is well over a quarter of a century since a testimony of mine was published in The Christian Science Journal. This testimony tells how learning about God, His goodness and His love, through the study of the Bible together with the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, changed our family's tendencies toward ill health and troubled human living to those of health and progressively harmonious activity.

While my husband did not accept Christian Science fully, he seldom opposed its use for the family and at times did ask for treatment for himself.

As our children were growing up, they rarely were absent from school because of illness. Their scholastic records were always in the upper brackets. This radical change from the previous doleful picture was assuredly due to our turning to God in our everyday lives in the way in which Science teaches us, through daily study of the Quarterly Bible Lessons, through regular church attendance, and through taking part in church work. The Christian Science periodicals, including our daily newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor, also contributed to our cultural improvement.
