With gratitude to God for Christ Jesus and for Mrs. Eddy,...
With gratitude to God for Christ Jesus and for Mrs. Eddy, who brought us Christian Science, I write this testimony.
Our family began to study Science over forty-nine years ago when a five-year-old brother was healed of a blood condition after being given up by the doctors. My mother was a Bible student and had recently heard of Christian Science. She stayed up all night reading her Bible. The next morning she just knew that the boy would be well. He was healed; he got out of bed and played.
This healing established my faith in Christian Science. I married young and was deeply grateful to my mother for sending me Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. When our first son was a baby, his eyes were crossed. An aunt told us that we should see a doctor about this. I took my stand and silently affirmed right then that the healing was going to be brought about through spiritual means, and I put the child in God's care. I continued to apply the truths I was learning in Christian Science. Within two weeks the baby's eyes were straight.
