An impelling passage from page 255 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, "'Let there be light,' is the perpetual demand of Truth and Love, changing chaos into order and discord into the music of the spheres," has urged me onward in my effort to remove chaos and discord from my thinking and living.

Since early childhood I had been a faithful member of an orthodox church. However, the nature of God and of man as His perfect reflection were not known to me. As I grew to adulthood, my life was beset by fear and anxiety. With marriage and the rearing of our family, these difficulties increased. Then came war and the loss of a dear one. It was at this time that I purchased a copy of the textbook, Science and Health. On reading the first chapter, "Prayer," I knew I had found the pearl of great price.

However, well-meaning relatives removed this cherished book from my use because of their faith in materia medica. The inharmonies of life became more than I could bear. A nervous trouble developed, and I spent several weeks in a rest clinic. During this time I recalled many of the Bible truths in the new light of the spiritual understanding I had gained from Science and Health; and the sharing of these truths encouraged others in need of help.
