"Mark the perfect man"
The Psalmist wrote, "Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace." Ps. 37:37; A correlative passage may he found in Mrs. Eddy's words: "Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man. who appeared to him where sinning mortal man appears to mortals. In this perfect man the Saviour saw God's own likeness, and this correct view of man healed the sick." Science and Health, pp. 476, 477;
To behold this perfect man, we must eliminate dualism from our thought. Starting in consciousness with perfect God as the cause and source of man's being, we can see why perfection must be the effect. And according to Christian Science, all appearances to the contrary are illusions, false beliefs, or lies, about man.
We need to understand God and man's relationship to Him; then we experience the divine manifestation in our human experience in health, harmony, and purity. God is infinite Love, eternal Life, omnipresent Truth; and man, God's child. His image and likeness, is pure in heart, sinless, upright, and eternally good. Eternity includes the present; thus man is perfect now. We have the Apostle John's inspired words of promise, "Beloved, now are we the sons of God." I John 3:2;
