Jesus said (Matt.11:28), "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." The fact that there is a God who is Love makes me very happy. Christian Science proclaims to the world the truth that God is infinite Love. With deep gratitude I should like to thank God for the great love and goodness which He has bestowed on me. A few years ago I was overcome by weakness and emaciation, which were very obstinate.
One day, while on our vacation trip, which my husband and I undertook in spite of my illness, there appeared in addition to this weakness a cramplike condition that immobilized my hand. I was also suffering from sleeplessness, and I had lost my appetite. Often during sleepless nights, I was discouraged. But it nevertheless became clear to me that thinking filled with anxiety and fear cannot hear God's guidance. I turned wholly to God as my healer, and my husband supported me lovingly as I dwelt in thought on the true man.
