Our Spiritual Medicine
Mary Baker Eddy is known as the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. She made a spiritual discovery and founded a religious movement. But her discovery was medical as well as theological. She founded a system of medicine as well as a church.
Sometimes when one member of a family has been healed through Christian Science, the other members of that family have soon become Christian Scientists. Subsequently they have found this Science sufficient to meet their health needs. Today there are whole families which, over three, four, or more generations, have maintained good health using only the spiritual medicine of Christian Science.
But on other occasions the family or friends of a Christian Scientist are not familiar with the medicine he has learned he can rely on. In some emergency they may feel he is not taking care of himself; and they may urge some other treatment.
