I was reared in Christian Science and have had many wonderful healings. I am now in construction work and have experienced God's ever-loving protection. Once I was protected in a fire which broke out while we were welding on a gas pipe and couldn't get the gas shut off completely. Another time a ditch caved in on me while I was welding. I had no fear that I would not be all right and that I would not get out safely. I did get out unhurt.

The following experience stands out to me among many healings. As I was welding a band around a tank, the clamp slipped off and the band hit me in the mouth, cutting and burning me. I took my handkerchief and put it over the injury, went to the foreman, and told him I had to go home. The foreman noticed the blood, insisted on seeing my face, and remarked that quite a few stitches would be needed. I knew this wasn't so; that God is the only power.

I drove my truck to my mother's home to get a clean rag. Immediately she started working for me in Christian Science. I then went on home. When my wife saw me, she picked up Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and started reading while I cleaned up. There was no pain whatsoever, and I went to bed and slept. At suppertime I woke up and ate some soup, went back to bed, and slept until morning.
