I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude for all that the study of Christian Science has done for me. For seven years the truths of the Bible together with those of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy have been my only physician, counselor, and way of life.

Before I knew of Christian Science, I suffered from a displaced disk in the neck and was under medical care. Various kinds of treatment were given me, but to no avail. Also, arthritis was beginning to affect my joints, especially in the fingers. This to me was serious, for I was a pianist.

A few weeks previously a copy of Science and Health had been given to my mother. Then one day she presented a copy to me with these words: "This is the best present you will ever receive." Indeed I have proved those words to be true. Within days of my starting to study the textbook, the physical conditions vanished from my thought, therefore from my body; but it was many months before I realized that I had been healed.
