A discoverer is someone who dares to think something new, to explore the unknown, to overcome obstacles. Often when someone thinks of a new idea, it takes a long time for others to understand it.

Robert Goddard dreamed of making a rocket that would explore outer space. Everyone made fun of him. But Goddard did not stop because of what others thought. He worked hard building a rocket that would fly. Because of Robert Goddard's courage, persistence, and faith, today rockets blast off, boosting up the spaceships that carry astronauts who walk in space and who someday will walk on the moon.
