"The resurrection morning"

Easter symbolizes the eternality of Life. Its theme is the risen Saviour. Easter delineates Spirit's victory over the flesh as exemplified by Christ Jesus. Through Christian Science we learn that Easter is a timeless, individual experience by which one proves, through progressive demonstrations over material sense, his primal status of immortal being. It is a continuous unfoldment of good wherein one gains a clearer perception of life in God and of the spiritual, indestructible nature of man as God's image and likeness.

Christian Science reveals the spiritual fact that life is in God, not in matter. This revelation completely overturns the commonly accepted conceptions of matter's substantiality. For centuries this lie of life in matter has deluded men, but Christian Science annuls all material claims and restores man's rightful heritage as God's spiritual idea, exempt from evil.

In his demonstration over the flesh, Jesus proved his dominion over the sum total of evil; but the Christ, his real selfhood, was untouched by the crucifixion. The Master proved in his resurrection that life is eternal and that death is but the hypnotic dream of ignorance and sin. He exposed the lie of life in matter and the unreality of all its seeming manifestations. He unveiled the Christ for all mankind. Released from finite bonds, he demonstrated the supremacy of Spirit over the flesh up to the victorious climax of ascension.
