I am grateful for God's gift of Christian Science in my life

I am grateful for God's gift of Christian Science in my life. When I was a child, my mother experienced a healing of a painful ailment for which she was told she had to have a surgical operation. Through correspondence with her mother-in-law, a dedicated Christian Scientist, who gave her prayerful help, she was healed within three days. In gratitude she enrolled me in the Christian Science Sunday School. My childhood and school years were enriched by this practical teaching, guiding my activities in every direction. My marriage and home have always been influenced by this Science. I have learned there is no situation that cannot be corrected through the honest application of this truth.

While taking care of some errands one day, and after making some ten or more stops, I discovered I had lost an earring which had financial as well as sentimental value to me. I immediately turned my thought to the law of God and assured myself of the presence of the all-knowing Mind, which perpetually guides man. I had recovered articles before through prayer and had sincere confidence that no loss could occur in a universe governed by God.

Instead of retracing my steps, I returned to our place of business, where I was to meet my husband. As we were talking about the situation, a woman entered, and, upon hearing our conversation, said that an earring had been found in a store she had just left. I thanked her and went to the store, where I had also been earlier in the day. My earring was on the jewelry counter just as she had said.
