"RABBONI"!
The simple name, "Mary," Jesus spoke
To the Magdalen Easter dawn.
Quick recognition with joy awoke.
Sorrow and weeping were gone.
"Rabboni"! And that one word told
The depth of her devotion.
In all the Scriptures no scene could hold
More spiritual emotion.
"Firstfruits of them that slept," he stood
Unchanged—our risen Lord!
Though crucified, entombed, he could—
And did—prove Life in God.
