INTEGRATION
One art and Science blended, and one whole
integrated purpose—one desire—
will bring all hearts together;
the clean fire
of Truth furnish the inevitable test
of motive. Tares of pride and fear will go,
and courage rise, with power to resist
the foxy, small, insinuating lies
which separate, whispering "I here,
you over there, with no communication."
For cracks unhealed spread wider. Love alone
can unify, prevent such separation,
Love reaching out with patient hand
to draw together, integrate.
No land,
no group, explorer in outer space,
poet, painter, composer; no sect, no special class or society or race
condemned to struggle alone
when Christ—raised up in thought—
removes the stone.
