In Touch with the Father
A small boy once asked me if God could help him if he made a mistake performing a trick on his gym set. When I assured him that He could, he asked, "How do I get in touch with Him?" He was told that he could talk to God and listen to Him in his thinking.
For centuries human beings have longed to commune with God without being sure how to go about it. How can God be reached? Through prayer we become conscious of His divine presence.
Can you and I learn to pray? Certainly. Jesus instructed his disciples how to pray. He said, "When thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." Matt. 6:6;
