It is with deep gratitude that I express my thanks for and sincere appreciation of Christian Science. Proofs of God's care have been many in my experience, and my whole family have benefited on each and every occasion that the truth has been applied to a problem.

Our first healing experienced in Christian Science was that of a crushed finger sustained by our son, then two years old. The accident happened at a relative's home where he was spending the day, and the finger was bandaged when he returned home to us. The bandaged finger was not disturbed that evening, but the next morning I found the bandage had loosened while he had slept, and it was with horror that I saw the condition of his finger.

I had only heard of Christian Science a few days before, and had attended a Wednesday evening testimony meeting, where I was introduced to a practitioner. I knew that I must ask help of this practitioner now, otherwise there seemed little hope of saving the finger at all. The practitioner treated the boy for one week, during which time there was little improvement. At the end of that week the practitioner asked me to leave the case entirely to her and to try not to dwell upon the problem. This I earnestly endeavored to do; and a week later I found the finger was completely healed and that a new nail was already appearing.
