Christian Science is the greatest blessing that has come into my experience. Many problems, both physical and otherwise, have been solved through its healing efficacy.

For some years I was troubled with the appearance of a goiter, or enlargement of the thyroid gland, which did not yield to treatment. These words of the Psalmist came constantly to my thought: "Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God" (Ps. 42: 11).

During this time well-meaning friends suggested I have surgery, but I could not because of my firm faith in God as my Physician. Prior to my healing I had thought I was justified in resenting my lot in life. When I saw the resentment was hindering my healing, I strove to overcome it.
