Impervious Armor
Is there a truly effective means of providing safety on a battlefield? Yes, God-inspired thought can do this.
Thought is the doorway of experience. Whatever we encounter comes through that doorway, whether or not we intended its admission. Consequently, that door should be faithfully guarded by prayer—by the kind of prayer which enables one to distinguish spiritual truth from mortal error.
In its original statement of creation, the Bible declares that man is God's image and likeness (see Gen. 1:26). In line with this fact, Christian Science explains that man, the reflection of God, Life, is indestructible. This Science also teaches that evil, in whatever form it appears, is unreal because it is the opposite of God, who is good. Effective prayer serves to establish these truths in consciousness. It aids in bringing one's thought into harmony with the reality of Spirit.
