I first got to know of Christian Science in 1932 through my mother-in-law, who had a wonderful healing of a chronic complaint of the stomach. I was suffering from a serious nervous condition, and with the help of a Christian Science practitioner I received an instantaneous healing. However, it was not until 1945 that I turned wholeheartedly to Science, this time for the healing of anemia and depression. I was in a state of continuous exhaustion and could hardly get out of bed. I went to a practitioner, who gave me several passages to study from the Bible and in particular this one (Isa. 40:31): "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Once again the healing was instantaneous, and I felt I was walking on air!

My husband was so impressed that he started the study of Christian Science and went to church with me and received quick healings of constant indigestion, nasal catarrh, and headaches. We both became church members, and we had class instruction together. Christian Science has transformed our lives and brought us much joy and has been a great help in bringing up our children.

Some years ago, however, I went through a testing time. A diseased condition of the flesh and bone appeared which caused a part of my body to waste away and become deformed. I can never express enough gratitude for the practitioners who so faithfully helped me at different periods through this difficult experience.
