I was alone at home one day when I was suddenly stricken with severe pains in my chest, which spread across my shoulders and down into my arms. Momentarily, thinking of being alone, I felt that I should call someone to come to me. But I walked the floor a few moments, knowing that God was with me, and then called a Christian Science practitioner. She immediately voiced some truths to me of God and man, after which I lay down and rested.

My husband came in about noon, and I told him what had happened. Since we were supposed to go out for the afternoon and to have dinner with friends, I asked him to call them and say that we just might not be able to come. These friends were Christian Scientists and recommended that we wait until later to make a final decision. An hour or so later I telephoned them that we would be present.

There was very little discomfort the rest of the day, and that was the end of the difficulty.
