My gratitude, to God for revealing Christian Science to Mrs. Eddy...
My gratitude, to God for revealing Christian Science to Mrs. Eddy, who in turn presented the truth to mankind, is indeed great.
The truths of Christian Science were first presented to me at the age of eleven in a Christian Science Sunday School. God was explained as Principle, an omnipresent God, who is Love. This appealed to me so greatly that I voluntarily attended Sunday School regularly, riding many miles by streetcar.
After attending Sunday School for a few months, I was healed of the results of an accident to an eye. The point of a staple had penetrated the retina, causing hemorrhage of the eye. My parents telephoned a Christian Science practitioner for help. Within three days the eye was completely healed. The outstanding lesson I learned from this healing was that sight, actually, is indestructible spiritual discernment.
