"Love's essential qualities"

Many of the problems of today stem from discordant personal relationships. Whether it is in individual relations, in the family, in business, or between nations and races, the common demand is that one must demonstrate harmony with his fellowmen.

It is interesting to note that six of the Ten Commandments are given over to direction in human relationships. And in the Sermon on the Mount Jesus gave approximately half his attention to this type of problem. He said that the two great commandments were to love the Lord with all our heart and soul and mind, and our neighbor as ourself.

The greatest single factor in demonstrating harmony in human relationships is the understanding that there is one God, one Mind. It is this oneness of divine Principle that pervades the whole of spiritual creation. And when understood, this oneness reveals itself in the individual, in the home, in business, and in society as a whole. One God, one Mind, one Life, one Soul, one Spirit, one Love, sustains the harmony of spiritual being and is the basis of harmony in human relationships.
