Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Bury, Lancashire, England (First Church).

Six years after it was finally completed, Bury's only Christian Science church will be dedicated tomorrow week.

First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Irwell-street, was partially built in 1939 when an auditorium, rooms and a foyer were constructed. The church was opened then but it was not until 1958 that the building was completed with the addition of a Sunday School and cloakrooms. ...
