"They shall be all taught of God"
Referring to Christ Jesus, Mrs. Eddy writes (Retrospection and Introspection, p. 91), "To the students whom he had chosen, his immortal teaching was the bread of Life." And she continues, "The grove became his classroom, and nature's haunts were the Messiah's university."
John records these words of Christ Jesus, spoken to his disciples (John 14:16): "I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever." Later he continued (16:12, 13): "I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth."
Jesus brought to the world the demonstration of Christianity. Mrs. Eddy unfolded its operative method and rule. In fulfilling her divinely appointed task, Mrs. Eddy was led to include in the Manual of The Mother Church Articles XXVI and XXVII, the provision for class instruction in Christian Science.
