WORDS OF CURRENT INTEREST

[The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly designated to be read in Christian Science churches on November 21, 1965.]

Behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed (Ex. 3:2)

When we read this line in the King James Version, we may he sure that the translators, who were men of the highest scholarship, rendered it, no doubt comparing their rendering with the Greek Septuagint and the Latin Bible, exactly as it runs in Hebrew Scripture. All agree in their conception of the scene—actual flame, yet no damage to the shrub.
