When I was eighteen years of age, a very dear friend lent me a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, which I read. Some years passed, however, before I was ready to turn to Christian Science.

Since then we have had many healings in our family through reliance on God. One son had a quick healing of suspected diphtheria and also of what appeared to be measles.

In the latter case I went to visit a practitioner while my husband took care of the boy, and when I returned, later in the day, I found him sitting up in bed playing with his father. The temperature was normal, and by the following day the symptoms had disappeared.
