RADIO PROGRAM No. 126 - Freedom from the Pressure of Modem Living
HOST: The pressure of modern living is said to be a burden for many people, a burden that they would like to see lifted.
INTERVIEWER: In his book "The Dilemma of Modern Belief," Dr. Samuel H. Miller said that the machine "has changed the tempo of human life, accelerated it to the perilous point of being a compulsive obsession. Everything must be Faster! Faster! till man finds himself acting like a machine, disregarding the human aspects of fatigue or reflection." (© 1963. by Samuel H. Miller, Harper & Row, Publishers. Incorporated, New York, N. Y.)
That gives quite a picture of people under pressure—driven, pushed, dominated by circumstance. Do you think the Bible offers any practical help on this subject?
