Comfort for the Mourner
"There is no void. ... The perfection of the spiritual
universe remains unchanged"
Christ Jesus' familiar words, "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted" (Matt. 5:4), when understood in Christian Science, restore the joy of those laboring under a sense of grief. The mourner shall be comforted! With these positive words the Master might well have been foretelling the great joy of Mary-Magdalene and the other Mary when the full meaning of Jesus' resurrection dawned on them.
