In my early childhood Christian Science was brought to my mother's attention. I was very young and had been unable to attend school for more than a month or two at a time because of ill health. I remember being taken to a Christian Science practitioner several times for treatment. At that time my mother tried to study Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy but could not understand it. However, within a year I was attending school regularly and had started to manifest normal strength and growth. At this time frequent painful backaches were overcome.

Some years Later when my mother was in need of healing, Christian Science was again presented to us. She studied Science and Health faithfully for about three months and was healed of a very large fibroid tumor. The healing was verified by our family doctor. Continuing her study, she was healed within a year of asthma and a heart condition.

During her early study I was healed of chronic constipation. We started attending Christian Science services, and my mother became a member of The Mother Church and a branch church.
