"I will fear no evil"

"Fear is simply a lack of trust in the
power of God"

Fear is one of the more painful conditions known to mortals. It is the basic cause of all inharmony and is a depleting state of mind. On page 587 of Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy gives the following definition of God: "The great I AM; the all-knowing, all-seeing all-acting, all-wise, all-loving, and eternal; Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit; Life; Truth; Love; all substance; intelligence." Students of Christian Science, therefore, understand very clearly that neither evil nor the fear of evil comes from God and that consequently each is without reality.
