A College Student Writes
"Take fast hold of instruction"
The student of today fares a threat responsibility. His preparation for the multiplicity of tasks confronting him usually takes place in secondary schools, colleges or universities, and graduate schools. Education apparently determines his livelihood.
How true it is, however, that to be genuinely meaningful, understanding should properly come from spiritual enlightenment. The aim of all true education should be understanding.
The Bible states (Prov. 4:13), "Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life." The spiritually enlightened student of Christian Science interprets this passage as meaning that the kind of instruction which really paves the way to knowledge and advancement is the recognition of God's allness and of man's unity with the Principle which has created all good and has left no possible move to chance.
